Typing with Both Hands & The Shift Key

Coordinate both hands smoothly and master opposite-hand Shift key capitalization.

Step 1: Learn the Concept

Both hands must share the typing workload equally! When capitalizing letters, always use the Opposite-Hand Shift Rule: if the letter is on your left hand (like A, S, D, R, T), hold the RIGHT Shift key with your right pinky. If the letter is on your right hand (like J, K, L, O, P), hold the LEFT Shift key with your left pinky. Read How to Use the Shift Key.

Step 2: See How It Works (Hands & Fingers Map)

Never use Caps Lock for a single capital letter! Caps Lock takes two separate presses (on, then off), cutting your speed in half. The Shift key is held down seamlessly.
